HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THE DATABASE COMPANIES TO REMOVE MY CONVICTION?  

Once the judge signs the "order" it can take 30-60 days before the "database" agency start to reflect that you no longer have a conviction on your record.

WILL AN EXPUNGEMENT GET ME MY GUN RIGHTS BACK? An expungement can be just one component required to getting your gun rights back.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN EXPUNGEMENT AND SEALING A RECORD:

If you have been arrest BUT never filed on, then sealing a record is the way to go. If you have been convicted of a crime then we need to do an expungement. 

HOW CAN WE HELP?

CAN I DO IT MYSELF?  

Absolutely.   But,  you need to be aware that if you don't follow the correct rules of law and correct local court rules your paper work might be rejected.  If you have the time this might not be a big deal but if you are looking for a job then time might be of the essence.

It depends on the the specific courthouse. We have seen it take as little as 2 weeks or as long as 4 months.  The average that we see is 2-4 months.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY CASE QUALIFIES FOR EXPUNGEMENT? 

1. You were convicted in a state court.

2. You did NOT go to state prison. (county jail ok)

3. Your probation is over. ( or we can petition for early termination).

4. You have no current cases. 

5. You are NOT now on probation for another case. 

6. You were NOT convicted of a sex crime. (288 etc)
